We are a Greenschool and are working towards our 6th Green Flag:

Theme is Reduce Reuse,Recycle.

Look at all the wonderful Christmas decorations the children made from rubbish for our School Christmas Tree.

Well done to the Mums and Dads who helped glue all together!

Ms Roisin Egan, Music Generation Sligo, conducts the infants to 2nd Choirs performing the songs that they learned as part of their Music Education Lessons – Music Generation Programme. Roisin gave us a beautiful rendition of ” Oh Holy Night”

We also had a wonderful performance from Mary Ormsby Thursday Dance Class.

Again all the boys and girls answered the Team Hope Appeal for Shoeboxes to send to children less well off than themselves.

Audrey came to collect them in November and we were delighted with all the lovely colourful boxes!

3rd/4th Classes Science Week Activities 2016

All Classes are taking part in two Station Teaching sessions each week with the Class and Learning Support Teachers. Children work in small groups on Literacy and Numeracy tasks.

These 5th/6th class groups are working on Sentence Building and Poetry Reading.

These 3rd/4th class groups are working on adjectives and dictionary skills activities.

These groups in 3rd/4th Class are working on Place Value: hundreds,tens,units

We love to take part in Shared Reading Sessions the senior classes read with the Junior Classes and then the Junior classes brought their Shared Reading Book home and read it with their parents. We did this Monday – Thurs for threes weeks and we will do it again in February/March 2017
